Mr. Makiura caught the world’s attention for his presentation “Simple Innovation Makes a Big Difference” in TED×Youth@ Kyoto 2013. In that, he spoke about his experience of having set up a business based in Rwanda to act as a bridge between local farmers and organizations for international cooperation. Now, at the age of 21, he is working on projects in developing countries in order to establish what he calls genuine international cooperation. Mr. Makiura will talk about his experiences and share his ideas of how he sees Japan.
