API hosts a Roundtable with Dr. Guibourg Delamotte from France’s INALCO

On July 26, 2023, Asia Pacific Initiative (API), led by API President Ken Jimbo, hosted a roundtable with Dr. Guibourg Delamotte. Dr. Delamotte is Professor of Political Science and Head of the Japanese Studies Department at Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales (INALCO) in France as well as Visiting Senior Research Fellow, RCAST, The University of Tokyo.
The event began with a keynote presentation by Dr. Guibourg Delamotte on “Japan’s diplomatic openings to the Global South – the G7 Hiroshima summit and new FOIP”, followed by discussions with experts from API.
API frequently organizes roundtables like this for international policy dialogue as part of our mission to contribute to building a free, open, and sustainable future through intellectual dialogue, policy research, and cultural exchange with a diverse world.
