The UN’s Sustainable Development Goals approved in 2015, such as decreasing air pollution and food waste, propose a new way of global governance. SDGs have 17 goals and 169 targets to pursue towards 2030 and there are no rules how to achieve them. This new approach looks rough but it actually is unique in a way well-adapted to today’s world. In this lecture, Professor Kanie will explain their unique structure and analyze how they will affect our economy and diplomacy.
