[Event Report] API Roundtable with Dr. Ely Ratner
The Asia Pacific Initiative (API) held a roundtable on October 24, 2025, welcoming Dr. Ely Ratner, Principal at The Marathon Initiative and Senior Advisor at Clarion Strategies. Dr. Ratner previously served as the U.S. Assistant Secretary of Defense for Indo-Pacific Security Affairs in the Biden administration.
At this roundtable, lively discussions were held between Dr. Ratner and API experts on the situation in East Asia, including China. In addition, U.S. defense policy and the Japan–U.S. alliance were discussed from multiple perspectives.
