As an expert on disarmament, Ms. Seya has disarmed soldiers or guerrillas after the conflicts in Somalia, South Sudan and Afghanistan so they can be reintegrated into the society. She will speak on how she uncovered the roots of the problems and their solutions.

Seya Rumiko

Seya Rumiko is a specialist in post-conflict peace-building and reintegration of ex-combatants into society and has held various positions in conflict areas, such as Rwanda, Afghanistan and the Ivory Coast. She was selected by Newsweek’s Japanese edition in 2011, as one of the twenty-five Japanese most respected in the international community.
